The Technology Behind Kava App
The Kava blockchain is a Layer 1 network that uniquely combines the Cosmos SDK and EVM in a single, co-chained architecture. This dual-chain approach allows Kava App to serve both the Cosmos and Ethereum developer ecosystems simultaneously, enabling unprecedented composability and interoperability.
The Cosmos co-chain leverages the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol to connect with over 50 Cosmos-based networks, while the EVM co-chain is fully compatible with Ethereum tooling, wallets, and smart contracts. Together, they form the backbone of the Kava App ecosystem.
